Are Morays endangered?
Moray Eels are not even close to being endangered due to the fact that they dont have a large amount of predators and there are over 80 species. The Morey Eel population will most likely grow over the next few decades.

What would happen if Morays were somehow Eliminated from the Food Chain/WEb
There are very few creatures that hunt the Moray Eels for food, besides the Barracuda and a few others. The Larger species of Grouper fish also preys on the Moray Eel, however these two share a "Commensalism" relashonship ( one species benifits from the relashonship while the other is not affected in any way ) as explained in "Moray Eel - Feeding/hunting" The Groupers may find it more difficult to hunt successfully if the Moray Eels went extinct due to the Moray Eels ability to find food where the Grouper can not. Coral reefs may become slightly more unstable as a result of there being no more mucus from the Moray Eels skin.
What is its role in the ecosystem?
Moray eels will eat dead prey items that float near the crevice and thereby have an important ecological role in removing decaying matter from the ecosystem.
How would Global warming affect the Moray Eel?
Since Moray Eels are mostly nocturnal and they prefer warmer waters Global warming may not have that much of an effect on the Eels as other creatures.
